Hey there, RunnerGurlz – Wanna write?

RunnerGurlz.com is the brainchild of marketer/marathoner Lisa-May Huby. This website is dedicated to you and the other RunnerGurlz in your life, and will (we’re pretty sure) become your one-stop shop for everything running.

There’s not a lot to see here just yet ‘cause we’re still in stealth mode. Very soon though, you’ll find cool stuff like professional training tips and programs, nutrition features, races to run, and race reviews by the Gurlz that ran them. The occasional apparel review might be thrown in for good measure as well, when we (or you) find something that really, totally blows our running socks off.

This is YOUR website. We want your two-cents’ worth on races to run, races to avoid, the best shwag, and so on. And, you’ll be able to rate races as well, with a ‘toes up’ or ‘toes down’ rating system. Neat, huh?

Want to help rock the women’s running world? Cool! Here’s what we need right now from other RunnerGurlz (sorry guys, it’s ladies first here):

  • Professionals that want to share their tips and advice. We’re looking for experts who are runners and can put their money where their mouth is when it comes to nutrition, training, recovery, injury prevention and treatment, and so on. Ideally, you’ve got an arsenal (or are building one) of feature articles and blog posts just dying to be read that (preferably) haven’t been published elsewhere. Include your deet’s and bio with your submission so we can give you full credit.
  • Recent race reviews. Have you run a distance race (10k, half, or marathon) in the last 30 days, like The Flying Pig, Boston, or Mississauga? Put your thoughts in writing and send them in. Please include your name, email address, race name, location and date, the  distance you ran, plus what you thought of the entire experience – what was done well with regards to course, volunteers, and planning, and what they could improve on. Oh, and perhaps the most important part: the race kit and the goodies in it. Did you get a tech tee or a plain-Jane cotton freebie? How was the expo? You get the idea.
  • Training tips. Is there something you tried that really improved your running? Do you have feedback on a particular training program you’ve used? Send your tips and comments on in.
  • Race directors that want to promote their upcoming events and retailers of totally cool women’s race gear. Advertise with us!

Send your contributions to info@runnergurlz.com or use the handy-dandy contact form on our Contact Us page. Anyone interested in advertising on RunnerGurlz.com should contact Lisa-May directly, lisamay@runnergurlz.com.

While we’d love to share everyone’s contribution, we can’t promise they’ll all be published. Submissions that contain inflammatory or derogatory comments, grammatical and spelling errors (please: use spell check!), extreme profanity, adult content, or are just plain nasty won’t be published. RunnerGurlz.com reserves the right to edit submissions to meet content standards. All authors will receive credit for published contributions; please specify when submitting if you do NOT want your information published.

Thanks for stopping by, happy running!
